Visit by Jamie Ades from VisitBritain

Jamie Ades, Senior Destination Manager, Business Events, attended the recent Conference Partners Meeting held at Jurys Inn, Oxford and delivered a presentation on Visit Britain’s recent activities and their top line strategy for business events.

22 of our Conferencing Partners came together at the meeting to further explore the collaborative opportunities discussed at previous meetings that will present Oxford and Oxfordshire as a competitive conferencing location. Additionally, the attendees received feedback from Experience Oxfordshire’s attendance at Meet GB in Windsor, together with a showcase of the new Experience Oxfordshire Conferencing website.

Experience Oxfordshire followed up on this opportunity by taking Jamie on a 2 day FAM tour of 8 very different venues across the city and county including : Jurys Inn, The King Centre, Worcester College, The Oxford Playhouse, The Mathematical School, Said Business School, The Randolph Hotel and The Doubletree by Hilton Oxford Belfry.
