Opening Times
Wed – Sun, 7am – 11:30pm
Founded in 1818, Leander Club is the world’s most successful single-sport club, with 159 Olympic and Paralympic medals — including 62 golds — and a proud legacy of producing Britain’s greatest rowing talent, from Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent to Lola Anderson MBE. At its heart, Leander is a private members’ club in Henley-on-Thames, where tradition meets relaxed luxury.
Leander Club’s not-for-profit model means that every membership directly supports the development of world-class athletes — while giving Members access to one of the most iconic riverside locations in the country.
The Club’s restaurant is open five days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, the menus are designed to suit everything from casual catch-ups to special celebrations — all delivered with warm, attentive service.
Outside, the Deck Bar offers sweeping views of the River Thames and is the perfect setting for an evening drink or dinner al fresco. During the summer months, it becomes the social heart of the Club — particularly during Henley Royal Regatta.
Visitors can stay overnight in one of the 11 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, making the Club an ideal base for weekends away, regatta stays, or a peaceful escape to Henley.
Leander is more than a rowing club — it’s a vibrant, welcoming home for those who appreciate sporting excellence, exceptional hospitality, and a strong sense of community.
