Visitor Experience Assistant

Based in the beautiful Ashmolean Museum, you will deliver a world class experience for visitors by acting as the museum’s ambassador. You will interact with a various range of people and respond to visitor’s questions and needs. Using product knowledge, you will welcome and inspire visitors as well as encourage visitor giving (donations).

To help you achieve this, the museum will provide comprehensive and structured training alongside development opportunities.

There are 8 part-time vacancies available with varying hours and shift patterns:
• 35 hours per week / 0.96 FTE x3 (both weekend days)
• 26.25 hours per week / 0.72 FTE x1 (both weekend days)
• 24.5 hours per week / 0.67 FTE x1
• 19.25 hours per week / 0.53 FTE x3

All shift patterns will involve working at least one weekend day, with some patterns including both weekend days. This role is fixed-term until December 2025.

This role will involve regular manual handling and some lone working. Full training will be provided.
