Communications Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to join the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum.
You will play a key role in the marketing and communications function at the Department and provide vital support. You will support the Department across a range of external and internal marketing activities, working in digital and print media.
You will be responsible for managing the OBGA’s day-to-day activities for the Departmental website and social media channels. The Botanic Garden and Arboretum runs a variety of research, education, public engagement and commercial activities and the post holder will be a flexible team player who can adapt to a fast-changing work environment.
This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week. Job share and part-time working (80% of the full-time hours’) can be also considered for the right candidate
The role supports a hybrid working model, with the expectation of working on-site across two locations at least three days per week.
Occasional weekend/evening work will be required as part of this role.
About You
- You do not need expertise in plants but you will have experience in communications and marketing with specific experience in website management, content production, internal communications and digital communications.
- You will have excellent writing skills and will be proficient in working with the Microsoft suite of applications as well as Adobe Creative Cloud or similar to create content.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a diverse range of stakeholders is also essential.
