INTX Furthers Commitment to Sustainability Through Partnership with The Mersey Forest

INTX, a leading UK transport solutions provider with partnerships across multiple regions including Oxfordshire, is pleased to announce the continued growth of its collaboration with The Mersey Forest. This partnership reflects INTX’s expanding focus on local environmental initiatives that resonate with communities throughout the UK.

In December 2024, the INTX team took an active role in The Mersey Forest’s work by volunteering at Griffin Wood in St. Helens. Team members joined forest managers in clearing overgrown areas, coppicing, and planting new oak saplings, all actions critical to promoting biodiversity and ensuring the long-term health of local woodland spaces.

“Seeing first-hand the transformative work happening at Griffin Wood reinforced our commitment to sustainability,” said Managing Director, Andrew Globe. “We’re partnering with The Mersey Forest to create greener, healthier environments, an ethos we also carry into our work throughout the UK, including our projects in Oxfordshire.”

As part of its broader sustainability strategy, INTX is financially supporting key programmes like the Liverpool Standard Tree Planting Programme, designed to bring new life to underfunded public areas through planting over 500 standard trees. While The Mersey Forest is primarily focused on Merseyside and North Cheshire, INTX intends to replicate similar efforts elsewhere, seeking to drive urban greening, community engagement, and ecological awareness across multiple regions.

“The values we share with The Mersey Forest, responsible growth, environmental stewardship, and community connection are central to our mission at INTX,” said Globe. “We see enormous potential to extend these principles nationwide, including in Oxfordshire, where sustainability also plays a pivotal role in shaping local tourism and events.”

Through its partnership with The Mersey Forest, INTX combines financial contributions with direct participation, championing sustainability within each of its key operating areas. As the company continues to expand its reach and strengthen its relationship with partnerships such as Experience Oxfordshire it remains committed to promoting greener cities, protecting biodiversity, and encouraging environmental education.

“Our volunteer day at Griffin Wood was just one step in a broader journey toward more sustainable operations,” adds Globe. “We’re proud to integrate these practices into our work, not just in the Northwest but wherever INTX operates, including Oxfordshire and beyond.”
