Experience Oxfordshire welcomes Heythrop Park Hotel as its latest Ambassador Partner
Experience Oxfordshire is delighted to announce that Heythrop Park Hotel, is showing its commitment to the county’s visitor economy by becoming an Experience Oxfordshire Ambassador Partner.
Experience Oxfordshire, the official Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP)* and Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for the county, is a partnership organisation working with local businesses to grow the value of the visitor economy in Oxfordshire, for the benefit of everyone. Ambassador Partners are leading businesses from a variety of sectors across the Oxfordshire economy and collectively they bring valuable insight, support and strategic direction to Experience Oxfordshire’s work.
Heythrop Park re-opened in 2022 following a 12-month multi-million-pound refurbishment project which transformed the 18th century historic house into one of the grandest hotels in the Warner Hotels’ portfolio. With 337 bedrooms, three restaurants, six lounges, bars, games room, live entertainment, spa, wellness centre, gym, pool and an 18-hole championship golf course all offered within a 440-acre estate, the motto here is relaxation, exploration and entertainment. It’s the perfect Oxfordshire countryside escape.
Hayley Beer-Gamage, Experience Oxfordshire CEO commented: “The county’s visitor economy contributes over £2billion each year to the local economy, supporting some 37,000 jobs and amenities which are enjoyed by local residents as well as visitors. For it to continue to thrive we need to ensure that, within a very competitive marketplace, our offer to visitors is kept fresh and relevant. As a resort hotel catering for the child-free market, Heythrop Park provides a high-quality experience which superbly complements and enhances our current town and countryside offer to visitors. We really value this new partnership with Heythrop Park and the investment the Warner brand has made in Oxfordshire. They are a valuable addition to our Ambassador portfolio and we look forward to continuing to work with their talented team.”
Anna Mckenzie, Head of Guest Experience at Heythrop Park responded: “Heythrop has welcomed visitors, offering hospitality and entertainment, since it was an 18th century family home. And our purpose today remains the same, a place that’s great for Grown Up Fun and to create moments of joy. Our guests today are delighted to not only be staying in our beautiful hotel, but also in such a fascinating and charming part of the world. We understand that exploring the local area is just as important to our guests as the experience we offer within the hotel, and to have such beautiful locations and attractions on our doorstep is such a wonderful opportunity. We partnered with Experience Oxfordshire early on and are impressed with what they deliver. We are now looking forward to working more closely with them and other Ambassador Partners to build on current successes and ensure that together the county delivers the best experiences we can.”
Heythrop Park has recently signed to support The Oxfordshire Welcome, pledging their agreement with 14 service points designed to promote pride within the visitor economy sector and inspire confidence amongst potential visitors. Over 160 businesses across the county are currently supporting the initiative.
Experience Oxfordshire Ambassador Partners play an active role in ensuring the sustainability of the county’s destination management organisation. Heythrop Park Hotel joins Activate Learning, Bicester Village, Blenheim Palace, Cherwell District Council, Greatest Hits Radio, GWR, The Feathers Hotel, Hedges Law, Oxford Bus Company, Oxfordshire County Council, Pye Homes, Stagecoach and Westgate Oxford as Ambassadors for the county’s visitor economy.
