Music at Oxford’s series of organ recitals concludes with a concert from Stephen Tharp, acclaimed as the best organist in the USA and the most-widely toured organist of his generation. He’ll perform music that builds upon and is inspired by the style of the great French organist Pierre Cochereau, including a work by Stephen’s own mentor, Jean Guillou, a composer who explores the many hidden colours, sound effects and emotions of the organ.
