Funhouse Comedy Club – Comedy Night in Brackley
Fri 9 May, 20:00 - 23:00
Following the launch in January, Funhouse Comedy Club brings another night full of laughter to The Lounge Café Bar, Brackley on Friday 9th May.
Show more Topping the bill is the award winning Nathan Caton, star of radio and TV, including TV’s Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News and BBC Radio 4’s ‘Can’t Tell Nathan Caton Nothing’, which had its 3rd series in 2014. He started his comedy career as a 19 year old and immediately started winning awards. He has been called the most exciting young black comic on the circuit and combines his laidback, clear-cut material with his art of cutting down ‘fools’ both in everyday life and the media.
Opening the night will be comedian, writer, radio broadcaster and TV presenter Nick Page, a semi-finalist on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and winner of English Comedian of the Year. The seemingly indestructible, larger than life, award winning English comic, whose life is a series of disasters, somehow turning into unlikely triumphs. No gimmicks, no PowerPoint, no props and no flipcharts. Just stories and belly laughs, he is a master of his art.
Completing the line-up is Ben Harrington, talking about his life experiences and family encounters as a frustrated middle-aged man.
Compere for the night will be Pete Teckman who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.
