Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at The Lounge Café Bar, Brackley on Friday January 31st.

Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as “among the best anywhere in the world.”

Topping the bill is Jules O’Brian, shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, she enjoys telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating all done with a twinkle in her eye.

Opening the night will be the animated Sean Heydon, one of the country’s premier comedy magicians, who has appeared on various TV shows, including Britain’s Got Talent where he got a unanimous 4 yesses from the judges and Channel 4’s Paul O’Grady Show, as the resident illusionist. With his unique style, he captivates the crowds, often receiving standing ovations.

Completing the line-up is the warm and light-hearted Ben Ashurst with his hilarious thoughts.

Compere for the night will be Pete Teckman who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year at Leicester Comedy festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.
