Conscious Flourishing Symposium Day
Tue 5 Nov, 09:00 - 12:00
The Linbury Building, Oxford
For Aristotle the goal of human life was to live well, to flourish, and to ultimately have a good life. He conceptualised this as “eudaimonia”, a concept distinct from “hedonia” or pleasure, coming from ‘hedus’, a Greek word for the sweet taste of honey.
Show more The Centre for Eudaimonia and Human Flourishing is studying how to better lives through the use of nature, music, meditation and psychedelics, whilst studying these with brain imaging. The Conscious Flourishing Day will exploring these important advances through a series of events taking place throughout the day across Oxford.
Conscious Flourishing can be experienced as a daylong event (starting at Worcester College, stopping at Holywell Music Room and ending in Stoke House, Old Headington), or as individual, drop-in sessions. Please remember to book for all sessions that you wish to attend.
