Blenheim Palace shares its top tips for group bookings

Blenheim Palace, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is committed to providing a memorable group experience and to ensure that every visit is as enjoyable as possible, Blenheim Palace has outlined some important information and tips for groups planning their 2025 trips.

1. The Importance of Pre-booking:

To ensure a smooth and seamless visit, all groups must pre-book their visit to Blenheim Palace. This guarantees entry and allows for planning time to make the most of your experience. Thoughtful planning of your group’s day is key to maximising the visitor experience. Considering the overall dwell time needed for activities ensures your group enjoys every aspect of the Palace and Grounds.

2. Peak Season Considerations (1st May to end of October):

Peak season runs from the 1st of May until the end of October. Being mindful of your group’s time of arrival can have a big impact on their visitor experience. Consider arriving before or after opening hours to enhance your visit, you may also want to explore access to a private guided tour for a more personalised experience, as there is no guiding during opening hours. Top tip: avoid peak times and book between 6th January and 31st March 2025.

3. Pre-Order Catering, Including Picnic Lunch Bags:

This will help to avoid delays and enhance your group’s visit, consider pre-ordering catering options, including picnic lunch bags. This will ensure your group is well-fed and energised throughout the day. Groups can enjoy high quality, seasonal produce in the new two-year Group Tour menus. The Palace’s group catering can include light refreshments, two or three-course hot lunches, cold buffets or afternoon tea served in a private room. For busy groups with short dwell-time or groups that would prefer a picnic-to-go, there are options for Blenheim packed lunches, including fresh homemade sandwiches and a selection of savoury delights which can be enjoyed whilst immersed in the Park and Gardens.

4. Events Included in Ticket Price:
Be sure to check out the calendar of events at Blenheim Palace via the website, as many of these are included in the ticket price. The events can include the Food Festival (24-25 May 2025), Flower Show (27-29th June 2025), and the Jousting Tournament, and can add an extra layer of excitement to your group’s visit.
