If you’ve not had the delight of encountering sculpture by the renowned sculptor Jenny Pickford, there are many opportunities coming up over the next few months in your local area.

Jenny has many commissions under her belt, from the nations favourite tennis venue, Wimbledon to the newly opened arts centre, The Sherborne in Dorset. Internationally her work can be seen as permanent fixtures in China, Australia and the around USA.

Jenny has recently shown alongside the infamous glass artist, Dale Chihuly, in London and was a regular exhibitor at many prestigious art events including Chelsea Flower Show.

Nature, its beauty and form, are the starting point for her artistic practice. Her material combination of enduring metal and diaphanous hand blown glass in her sculpture illustrate her skill in portraying both the resilience and delicacy of nature. Whilst exquisite to purely perceive and enjoy, her work has an underlying exploration of the dual notions of fragility and strength.

Predominantly known for her stunning floral sculptures that adorn the worlds finest gardens, Jenny also works with architects and clients to create bespoke works that flow with the power and grace of femininity.
Collectors far and wide covet her glorious sculptures. Catering for all, Jenny also designs collections of smaller works for those of us who don’t have public art budgets or vast landscapes.

This season Jenny has created an edition of Irises in homage to Palestine, the Iris being the national flower of Palestine, where fields of irises abound. A percentage of all sales of the Irises will be given to humanitarian charities supporting the people of Gaza.

One of the Irises will be available to view at September Song Festival (6-8th September ) alongside an installation made at the festival of a field of irises culminating in a re-wilding meadow at Braziers Park in Ipsden.
