Blenheim Palace announce spring lunch deal and immersive Churchill Afternoon Tea

Tuck into a springtime feast at The Orangery at Blenheim Palace as it announces a limited deal of any main course with a drink for £24.00 from Monday 22nd April.

Available from Monday to Friday between 12-4pm (excluding Bank Holidays), diners can choose from classic fish and chips, grilled wild boar & apple sausages, or mushroom pappardelle pasta paired with a drink of their choice. The impressive venue features locally sourced ingredients, using fresh fruits and vegetables from the Palace’s own kitchen garden.

Visitors to Blenheim Palace and The Orangery can also celebrate 150 years of Sir Winston Churchill at his birthplace where diners can meet and greet with ‘Winstan’, a creation by Stan Streather as a tribute to the great wartime leader, whilst enjoying a specially-themed Churchill Afternoon Tea available for a limited time only.
The Churchill Afternoon Tea is served with a glass of Winston Churchill’s favourite Champagne, Pol Roger. Starting with a selection of savouries and sandwiches including smoked salmon, dill, lemon & nori cream cheese roll, coronation chicken & bhaji, cucumber, mint & caper, and truffle egg & Blenheim asparagus tart. Also in the selection are homemade fruit or plain scone with strawberry preserve and clotted cream. Finish with themed sweet treats including lemon meringue slice with crown, Winston Churchill cigar, classic English trifle tartelette and a Winston Churchill espresso top hat.
Last year, the 18th Century Orangery opened again for visitors once again following the completion of vital £2 million restoration works to replace the glass ceiling with timber and slate back to its original design.

About Blenheim Palace
Home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705, the Oxfordshire Estate was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

Set in over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland and designed by Vanbrugh in the Baroque style, Blenheim Palace is also the birthplace of one of Britain’s most famous leaders, Sir Winston Churchill and it was his father who described the vista, on entering the Estate from the village of Woodstock, as the ‘finest view in England’.
