There will be lots of fun, games, workshops and activities on offer for the children, including challenging Harry to ‘keepie uppies’, meet and greet photo opportunities with Maddie and Harry and two live shows: Maddie Moate’s ‘Busy Bees’ and ‘Maddie and Harry’s African Adventure’!
Maddie Moate’s ‘Busy Bees’
Maddie is a favourite children’s TV presenter who is passionate about education and excites children the world over with her educational YouTube channel and her many books. You will know Maddie Moate as the host of CBeebies ‘Maddie’s Do You Know?’ and CBBC’s ‘Show Me The Honey’, but did you know she also keeps honey bees? For the past five years, Maddie has been making videos about honey bees on her YouTube Channel, but now it’s time to bring her love of bees to the stage! In her ‘Busy Bees’ live show, Maddie will answer all your BEE-rillant questions as she teaches us about foraging, honey production, and the importance of bees as pollinators. Expect honey taste tests, fancy dress, silly games, and an epic waggle dance finale!
‘Maddie and Harry’s African Adventure’
Last year Maddie was joined by patron, England International Cerebral Palsy Footballer Harry Baker, as they together took on the challenge of a lifetime to raise funds and profile for Rafiki Thabo – they climbed Mount Kilimanjaro! While Maddie excitedly skipped along, snapping photos and videos, thrilling all with her fabulous knowledge about nature and wildlife, and even did one of her famous biscuit reviews live at midnight from Kibo camp at 4,750m, Harry had endless funny stories, ran a Pilates session for the team at Horombo camp at 3,720m, played football with the mountain guides at almost every rest stop and insisted on reaching the summit despite his left leg giving him trouble and the onset of altitude sickness! Maddie and Harry have some amazing stories to tell: about curious creatures, staggeringly beautiful nature, how tough it was, and also why they both so passionately took on this challenge. They will also show you some of their favourite photos from their African Adventure.
