Learn something new at one of New Theatre Oxford‘s exciting workshops this summer:

1. Make Up Through the Ages Workshop (Tue 6 Aug 2024, 10am) – Come along on a historical make up journey through time, Experiment with different techniques that will guide you through the Ancient Egyptian, Roman, Tudor and Victorian eras of make up styles.

2. Special Effects Make up Workshop (Tue 6 Aug 2024, 2pm) – Step in to the exciting world of special effects, learn how to create bruises, abrasions, Zombie veins and latex texture wounds in this exciting and creative workshop. This event is suitable for Ages 14+ and will be held in one of the dressing rooms which requires stairs.

3. Theatrical Make Up Workshop (Thu 15 Aug 2024, 10am) – Join New Theatre Oxford to create iconic looks from stage and screen – this is the perfect environment to learn and develop skills for any artist and to broaden your love for make up. This event is suitable for 14+ and will be held in one of the dressing rooms which requires stairs. Attendees are advised you to bring your own make-up.

4. Fantasy Make Up Workshop (Thu 15 Aug 2024, 2pm) – Step in to the world of pure imagination get creative and learn make up styles from the world of the strange, think pixies, elves and anything fantasy create what your heart desires with make up.

5. Technical Theatre Workshop (Tue 20 Aug 2024, 10am & 2pm) – Go behind the scenes and learn how to create Theatrical magic- learn all the backstage skills including lighting, Sound and rigging in this hands on workshop led by our extraordinary technical team on the stage at New Theatre, Oxford.

6. Musical Theatre Workshop (Thu 22 Aug 2024, 1pm) – Join the incredible Jasmine Rodhouse who will lead this incredibly fun and high energy musical theatre workshop where you will learn a musical theatre number (all singing all dancing) with the end goal of performing on the New Theatre, Oxford stage.

7. Burlesque Workshop (Fri 23 Aug 2024, 6pm & 7.15pm) – Led by the fantastic Lola la pearl of the folly mixtures Burlesque troop, come a long and discover the art of the tease in this fun and flirtations class. Learn the basic of Burlesque dancing including bumps, shimmies and thrusts, all the while having a good old giggle!
