Waddesdon, a unique French Renaissance-style château, was built in the 1870s by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his art treasures and entertain fashionable society. His collection of paintings by English and Dutch Masters and French decorative arts was one of the finest in the world and has been added to by subsequent generations. Today visitors can enjoy this astonishing collection as it would have been originally displayed within the opulent interiors of the Manor.

Outside, formal Victorian gardens and rolling parkland can be enjoyed year round with spectacular seasonal displays, sweeping landscapes and the ornate Rococo-style Aviary, a registered zoo that takes part in important conservation breeding projects.
