Trinity Talks: Neil Jones – Passing it on…
Trinity Talks: Neil Jones – Passing it on…
Wed 20 Nov, 17:00 - 18:00
Trinity College Oxford, Broad Street, Oxford
This isn’t brain surgery – it’s much more delicate! Using the world’s most powerful microscopes and stitches finer than a human hair, microsurgeons are now able to reconnect the smallest blood vessels and nerves in the body – saving lives and limbs and restoring quality of life to millions. Trinity alumnus Professor Neil Jones is a distinguished leader in this field and will discuss how microsurgery has revolutionised reconstructive surgery in a variety of settings. He will also share his experience of over thirty years of “passing it on” through performing and teaching humanitarian reconstructive surgery in some of the least developed countries in the world.
