VisitEngland, the national tourist board has announced the finalists for the Awards for Excellence 2017 with Experience Oxfordshire named as a finalist. The winners of this prestigious accolade will be announced at the Awards ceremony on Monday 24 April at the Hilton Waldorf, London.

Experience Oxfordshire welcomed experts from across the sector to their Partner conference at the newly refurbished Jurys Inn Oxford. Nine experts joined the events with representatives from; VisitEngland, VisitBritain, UKinbound, Arts Council England, Tourism Alliance, Destination Research, Travel GBI, Stephen Spencer Associates and Ginger Juice. Speaking at the ‘Insights from the Experts’ event, they provided expertise and insights on a range of important issues that affect the tourism industry.

VisitEngland, the national tourist board has announced the shortlist for Tourism Superstar 2016. This year two Experience Oxfordshire partners have been included in the short list of ten: Tracy Slator, a Tour Guide for Oxford Castle Unlocked, and David Cameron-Young, an Express Coach Driver for the Oxford Bus Company.
