Experience Oxfordshire hosts and attends a variety of different events, from conferencing to group travel. This page will give you all the information and dates for upcoming and previous Experience Oxfordshire events.
Experience Oxfordshire Partners Meeting (formerly Attractions Meeting) will be held on Wednesday 5th of April, from 10am – 12pm at Heythrop Park Resort. This will include complimentary tea and coffee, and an optional tour of the facilities.
The meeting will give Experience Oxfordshire partners an opportunity to catch up with the Experience Oxfordshire team, hear from experts in the tourism industry, and network with other businesses from across the county.
Insights By The Experts, 1 March 2017
Experience Oxfordshire invited delegates to attend the ‘Insights from the Experts' event on the 1st March 2017 at Jurys Inn, Oxford. The event was a great opportunity to learn from experts from across the visitor economy sector providing expertise and insight on a range of important issues that affect the industry.

ExploreGB is VisitBritain’s flagship event providing Great British & Irish tourism suppliers and destinations with an invaluable opportunity to meet and do business with up to 350 hosted international travel buyers from 40+ countries.
Experience Oxfordshire took part in this two-day workshop filled with pre-scheduled, one-to-one appointments.
Confex, 1-2 March 2017
International Confex is the UK's leading event for organisers of both national and international events. Experience Oxfordshire went to showcase our conferencing partners and to promote the county as a great choice for the meeting of lively minds.
The event took place at London Olympia on the 1-2 March 2017 and we stand shared with Blenheim Palace, Jury’s Inn, Bicester Hotel, Golf & Spa, and Conference Oxford.
Oxford Visitor Information Centre Winter Event
We were delighted to welcome Partners to our Winter Event in the Visitor Information Centre on 6th December. As the recent Bronze award winner for 'Information Provider of the Year' in the Beautiful South Awards, we were glad to show you where it all starts, from the leaflet and poster room and big ticket-wall to the gift shop. There was a great festive atmosphere, with many people taking advantage of the special offer on beautiful Oxford-themed decorations, in between conversations crossing the sectors of our industry.
Experience Oxfordshire Networking Event at Oxford Brookes University
Oxford Brookes University showcased its award-winning conference and events facilities at our Networking Event held on the 3rd of November 2016. Experience Oxfordshire Partners and stakeholders attended the evening in the award-winning John Henry Brookes building.
The event was a part of series of networking events and seminars organised by Experience Oxfordshire for its growing Partner network.
China Workshop 2016
Experience Oxfordshire hosted a workshop on the 7th of April 2016 at Blenheim Palace for its partners to learn more about working in the Chinese market and effectively promoting their business in China.
The presentations covered statistics and insights about the market, best practice and gave advice on forming an action plan for local businesses and Oxfordshire as a destination to become China ready.
The workshop was lead by VisitBritain and had local case studies to learn from.
Experience Oxfordshire Networking Event 2016
Experience Oxfordshire's first networking event of 2016 was held at Eynsham Hall on the 14th of January 2016. There were over 150 local businesses and organisations in attendance as well as the Rt Hon David Cameron, Prime Minister and MP for Witney.
The informal event offered Experience Oxfordshire partners a chance to meet other business from across the visitor economy sector and network, as well as well as an opportunity to catch up with the Experience Oxfordshire team. The event was also the grand unveiling of Eynsham Hall’s £2.5million refurbishment to the local industry.
Cultural Platform 2015
Experience Oxfordshire's Cultural Platform on 24th July 2015 welcomed Prime Minister David Cameron as a VIP speaker. The event at Cogges celebrated the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta and 750th anniversary of the first ‘De Montfort’ parliament.
An audience of local businesses representing Oxfordshire’s tourism, heritage and cultural sector were joined by local councillors, together with Oxfordshire’s young representatives of the National Youth Parliament.
Summer Networking 2015
Experience Oxfordshire unveiled its new brand identity at their Summer Networking Event held at the Holiday Inn Oxford on 26th August. The 130 people in attendance came from all sections of the visitor economy, and were the first to see the new brand and learn more about how Experience Oxfordshire aims to grow as an organisation and make the county a great place to live, work, visit and do business.
The event also saw praise for the destination approach from both the key national agencies, VisitBritain and VisitEngland, who are extremely supportive and endorse the work that Experience Oxfordshire undertakes.
VisitEngland Awards for Excellence Workshop 2016
In partnership with Experience Oxfordshire, VisitEngland was pleased to announce a free workshop on the awards. The workshop was an opportunity for your business to discover more about the award categories, application process and what the judges look for in a winning business. The session also covered ‘Managing Guest Expectations and Online reviews’, so was of interest to any accommodation provider, visitor attraction, restaurant or pub operator.
