In the heart of historic Woodstock is Fletcher’s House, a large 18th century house that is home to the county museum of Oxfordshire. The Museum is bigger than you might think with galleries exploring Oxfordshire’s story from the Jurassic period through to Anglo-Saxons and Victorians. The Garden Gallery hosts an exciting and varied programme of exhibitions – please check their website for details.

Throughout the seasons, visitors can enjoy the changing landscape of the walled garden, a tranquil escape from the town. Relax in the perfect place for a picnic or take a snooze and recharge your batteries. Don’t miss the Dinosaur Garden with Jurassic planting, including the rare Wollemi Pine, and life- size Megalosaurus!

Meet friends & enjoy the Garden Café with hot and cold drinks, light lunches, snacks and delicious bakes and cakes. Browse the Gift Shop selling a range of gifts, educational toys, greeting cards and mementos of your visit. All proceeds from the Garden Café and Gift Shop support the museum service.
