A large 18th-century house in the heart of the historic town of Woodstock is home to the County’s collections. The Garden Gallery hosts an exciting programme of touring exhibitions. New in 2016 Juxtaposition: displaying the superb craftsmanship and artistry of contemporary makers alongside pieces from our historic collections. New Anglo Saxon Gallery open late 2016 Throughout the seasons visitors can enjoy the changing landscape of the walled garden, a tranquil escape from the town. Don’t miss the Dinosaur Garden with Jurassic planting, including the rare Wollemi Pine, and life - size Megalosaur – as big as a bus!

The Garden Café: Enjoy delicious cakes, freshly made sandwiches, panini, savoury snacks, a selection of beverages and lovely views of the Museum garden. Museum Gift Shop: Offering a range of gifts, books and educational toys that complement the exhibitions and museum collections. The Coach House Room HireRoom hire from £32, for lectures, meetings and social events. Refreshments available.
